About the Journal

The TETFLE journal is an independent, open-access publication, and serves as a medium for articles of interest to researchers and practitioners in distance teacher education. The journal provides a unique platform for researchers from faculties of education to share knowledge on educational issues that especially affect Africa. It gives particular issue preference to research presented at the DETA Conference, which takes place biennially.

The views expressed in the journal are those of the respective authors.

Publication Frequency

TETFLE publishes one regular issue annually. Additional special issues may be
published based on accepted DETA biennial conference proceedings. Editorial and peer review timelines vary depending on manuscript volume and reviewers’ availability.

TETFLE ONLINE FIRST SERVICE

TETFLE journal offers the Online First service, which allows completed peer-reviewed articles assigned to a specific issue to be published online while other articles of the same issue are still being finalised. This service significantly reduces the time it takes for articles in an issue to be published, and the authors' research reaches its audience faster, providing greater visibility and increasing the likelihood of earlier citations by related works. The newly published articles are assigned an issue number and page number after the issue has been completed. However, Online First articles are searchable and citable by their DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
