Author Biographies

  • Siseko Kumalo, University of Pretoria

    Siseko is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Decolonising Disciplines. His research focuses on epistemic justice, pedagogies of mutual (in)fallibility, feminist and queer theory, violence, Education for Sustainable Development and higher education transformation. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Stilet: Tydskrif van die Afrikaanse Letterkundevereniging as well as the Executive Committee of Literary Association of South Africa.

  • Leonhard Praeg, University of Pretoria

    Leonhard Praeg obtained his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa (1999) with a thesis on African Philosophy which was subsequently published by Editions Rodopi, Amsterdam under the title African philosophy and the quest for autonomy: A philosophical investigation (2000). He has taught at the University of the Western Cape, the University of Fort Hare and Rhodes University before he became the Head of the Philosophy Department at the University of Pretoria in 2017. He has published numerous articles, chapters and books on African (political) philosophy and is editor of UKZN Press’s scholarly imprint Thinking Africa.
